Nyachuru, Zimbabwe. November, 2012. -- Gladys Gwarda is a teacher and a masters student in international relations. She is also a mother and a wife. She was describing her masters dissertation; it was challenging. -- In August 2012, the Salvation Army transfer Dr Paul Thistle, a Canadian doctor, to Canada after 17 years as the chief medical officer of the Howard Hospital, a Salvation Army mission hospital in rural Zimbabwe. The transfer leads to violence and later despair as he is not replaced. The community believes they are in a worse health care situation because of the Salvation Army decision.
