The Working Centre is located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and is in its 26th year of operation. Originally it started as a counselling service in response to high unemployment in the region in the early 1980's. Since then it has expended its services from work placement to immigrantion, poverty issues, computer upgrading and bicycle repairs. The Working Centre follows principles that are focused on serving their clients needs first and foremost then developing community tools in response to those needs. The Centre is recognised also as one of the best places to work in the region.
