Amber, a resident, and Rocko, someone else's dog, sleep under a table in the front lobby of an repurposed university student dormitory that now houses ex-homeless people. Amber is high and well monitored. The dog's owner is at the hospital for overnight treatment, and has become the building pet. Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.26 November 2021. The building, known as UA, is operated by the Working Centre of Kitchener, a community based non profit organisation, and Region of Waterloo, a government body.
