The Howard Hospital is a rural mission hospital run by the Salvation Army in Zimbabwe. This is a selection of photos from 2006 to 2012 depicting daily life and portraits in and around the hospital. It is a story about commitment, anger, poverty and dignity. It reminds viewers in the developed world that health care is not to be taken for granted, shows a different kind of Africa and attempts to portray a wider and deeper understanding about everyday, common life on a rapidly changing continent.
